One-Year Review of Bodi Square Jaw Surgery

It's already been a year since my square jaw surgery. Right after surgery, the swelling was really severe, and I even thought, 'Did I do this for nothing?' But after about 3 months the major swelling went down, and by around 6 months my face line became natural. Now it's obvious that my jawline is much softer than before, and my side profile is what I'm most satisfied with when taking photos. At first, I couldn't open my mouth well and the area around my jaw felt a little numb, but that almost fully recovered over time. Now I have no inconvenience in daily life, and I can eat hard foods without any problem. People around me often said things like, 'Did you lose weight?' and 'Your face looks softer,' and I feel very satisfied because the sharp impression I used to have seems to have decreased. Of course, it takes longer than expected for the swelling to fully go down, so I think it's important not to be impatient. Even if I went back, I think I would choose surgery again. That said, the recovery period right after surgery is harder than expected, and it takes a long time for the result to settle, so I recommend getting plenty of consultation and making the decision carefully.
