It has been 2 months since my double jaw surgery.Even before surgery, I had asymmetry in my nostrils, but in daily life it was something I hardly noticed. After surgery, though, one nostril became noticeably larger, and the asymmetry between the alar and nostrils became worse than before.In the preoperative consultation, I was told that there would be no nasal deformity, and I trusted that explanation and chose this hospital even though it was more expensive than others.After surgery, I was told that it might improve with time, so I waited, and I also received a revision AS procedure later. But so far, I do not feel there has been much improvement, which is disappointing.Also, at first I was told they would look at the recovery progress and help resolve it, but later I received a different response while being told about the contents written in the consent form. What I feel is not simply a change in the angle of the nose, but that the nostril asymmetry became worse than before surgery.During the inquiry process as well, text replies were not smooth, and I was taken aback when calls were cut off midway or I was told about the possibility of legal action.This post is not written to disparage the hospital, but to share the experience I actually went through. Things may improve further during the recovery process, but as of now I am very disappointed because the outcome is different from what was explained before surgery.
