One-stitch buried suture review at D** Plastic Surgery

About a year ago, I had natural adhesion, but the right side was much lower than the left, basically down to the point of an inner double eyelid. Since I work a regular office job, a full revision surgery felt too burdensome, but I kept being stressed about it, so while searching I found something called one-stitch buried suture (I had three stitches). Compared with revision surgery, the swelling and bruising looked clearly lighter, so I went ahead with it. 1. Clinic Since it seemed like D** Plastic Surgery was the most famous place for one-stitch buried suture, I only went there. It’s a solo-practice clinic, so it’s on the smaller side, but clean. 2. Consultation Online reviews said the director was unfriendly, but I didn’t really feel that. Just average plastic-surgeon-level friendliness? Not super warm and affectionate, but not rude either. Though I’m not the type to ask a lot of questions or have tons of things I’m curious about, so maybe I just didn’t notice because the consultation ended really quickly. Anyway, my right eyelid line had a wide sunken area, so it needed either two stitches or three stitches. They said two stitches would have a faster recovery and be cheaper, but three stitches would be more definite, so I asked for three stitches. Of course the price is much cheaper than revision surgery. 3. Swelling & bruising When I looked in the mirror after surgery, the swelling was worse than I expected... During consultation, I showed photos and there was almost no swelling that day, so I thought it would be like that for me too. But it was at a level where anyone could tell I had just had double-eyelid surgery Of course it varies by person, but I wore an eye patch to work for about a week. Still, since it was only a few stitches, the swelling and bruising went down quickly. After about a week, only a little residual swelling was left. 4. Satisfaction Just extremely satisfied Even right after surgery when I looked in the mirror, there was swelling, but I thought the line came out well. As the swelling went down, I became even more and more satisfied. I hope it doesn’t loosen, but if it ever does, I’ll definitely go back to this doctor.
