Eye Surgery Reviews

Want to read about my mom’s revision double-eyelid surgery? This was her 5th surgery

I wanted to write something like a review, but I haven’t really written stuff like this much, so I’m selling out my mom first lol (got my mom’s permission) Anyway, this was my mom’s fifth surgery. She had one surgery when she was younger (that time it was non-incisional), and then when her double eyelids loosened, she had her second surgery, incisional, 10 years ago. She just lived with it for a while, but said the line wasn’t to her liking, so 3 years ago she had another incisional surgery and also wanted to improve her sagging eyebrows, so she had an eyebrow lift too. And then the line came out weird again, so she had a revision surgery 2 years ago, again incisional. Honestly, I did nag her about why she kept having so many surgeries, but every time she had surgery, her eyes actually ended up looking even stranger, so I couldn’t completely fail to understand how she felt either... And before that, it seemed like she was just doing whatever people around her said, without really checking things properly, so from the third surgery on I started looking into things with her too. But the bad results kept happening, and I felt upset too There was even a point where I asked why she couldn’t just live like this. But at the end, her eyes ended up looking way too sausage-like, the line was asymmetrical, and honestly she looked at least 20 years older, so I really felt like this was not okay. For the last hospital, I really went with my mom and visited a lot of places in person to compare them We decided on a fifth surgery at the hospital we found last, and we requested improvement for the sausage-like eyes and asymmetry. And above all, even though my mom had had double-eyelid surgery like that, she kept saying she was so uncomfortable because she had to keep opening her eyes with her forehead and it felt like her eyes were being pressed down, so we also did ptosis correction to improve that. The last surgery was incisional too, and ptosis correction for blepharoptosis was done together! This time I really wanted the surgery to succeed, and I remember holding my mom’s hand on the surgery day and saying that if this surgery succeeded, she should never touch her eyes again lol In the end, the surgery result came out well, so I’m really glad I can write this post like this. I’m also so grateful to the doctor who did the last surgery well for my mom, so I’m leaving this review too. First of all, once the line was lowered, the heavy-looking eye shape and everything like that disappeared completely, and she looks much younger. Seeing how much my mom likes it makes me so proud More than anything, the discomfort of the eyes feeling pressed down has improved a lot, she said. What I felt while going around with my mom to look for eye surgery places this time was that places that are good at operating cheaply on young people and places that are good at operating on people around my mom’s age are really quite different. It seems like this is a much more difficult surgery, so you need to be more careful and look into it well. Honestly, after seeing my mom struggle through surgery, I thought I would never get any cosmetic surgery myself... but seeing her succeed at the end, I’m getting tempted again to go to several places^^^^ Anyway, I really thought cosmetic surgery complications were someone else’s problem.. but seeing someone so close to me suffer made my heart hurt so much. I hope everyone has a successful cosmetic surgery haha
