Nose Surgery Reviews

[Men] Real, truly raw review 8 days after my first nose surgery

Because I spent so long thinking about having surgery, I thought you might also be dealing with similar worries and concerns right now, so I’m leaving this review in the hope that it helps even a little. My nose before surgery (photo attached above)Glabella: quite deeply sunkenAlar base: spread wideNasal bridge: had a hump, not an extremely low nose, but also not especially high either - kind of in-between the design I wanted for my noseI wanted a line that runs cleanly from the glabella to the tip of the nose, but with some natural curvature rather than an overly artificial chalk-like nose. So to preserve my nose’s original character, I decided to go ahead with surgery without shaving down the hump.-Surgical detailsHump: left intact without shavingGlabella ~ bridge: volume filled in naturally using autologous dermisTip: blunt areas had fat removed + cartilage tied together + ear cartilage placed on top to finishNow it has been exactly 8 days since the surgery, and it’s still pretty early, not long after the splint came off and the stitches were removed, so there’s still quite a bit of major swelling and residual swelling. But the bridge line seems to have turned out in the natural way I wanted, so personally I’m satisfied.I’ll attach before-and-after photos too, so if your nose shape is similar to mine, or if you’re considering autologous dermis or a no-implant surgery method, I think it could be a useful reference.I hope everyone gets the pretty nose they want, and if you have any questions about the surgery or pain, feel free to leave a comment.I’ll answer as much as I can from what I know.
