Three years ago, this was the 10th clinic I visited while researching contouring surgery, something I’d wanted for a lifetime. I went to Mayoung / Soda / DA / Leeu Oral & Maxillofacial / Gyarumhan / Noh Jong-hoon / Note / SamsaO / Bondi / 1 Percent My consultation was scheduled the latest, one month after booking, so my expectations were high. I got there around 5, and the wait alone was 30 minutes minimum. The consultant who made me wait was really unprofessional, and they basically brushed off everything I said. They pushed me like it would be a disaster if I didn’t book the same day, and said the price for the two-part procedure was 1,500...;; It was absurdly expensive, the most expensive among the places I checked, and when I said that, they told me if I wanted to do it safely, that’s the kind of price you pay, and asked how much I had even researched, which was so embarrassing. Is that person even still there now? Their attitude was seriously awful, like some scammer. And the director I’d seen in media looked completely exhausted. Where did the version from YouTube go? I was worried about what would happen if surgery were done in this condition. They explained the prepared script calmly, but if I interrupted or asked a question, they got really sensitive. It might have actually been better if that had been my first consultation; the basic explanation was detailed. I asked whether a glamorous cheekbone operation would be okay if there might be sagging, or whether it was risky to go in at a high angle, but yeah, I guess those kinds of questions can be sensitive. Doctors each have their own style. If the aesthetics don’t match yours, I recommend not going through with any surgery. Personally, I like people with strong academic backgrounds, so I thought it was really impressive that he graduated from Seoul National University business school and medical school. They seem to spend a lot on marketing. Looks like they have a lot of money too. I thought it was interesting when I saw him on TV about a year ago as a contouring-surgery doctor. Back then I saw a review saying the nurse who did the dressing after surgery was basically an angel; I don’t know about that because I didn’t have the surgery.
