I finally got the contouring surgery I had been worrying about for so long! I’m still recovering, but I’m writing a review in the hope that it helps even a little for people like me who worry about their face shape. My face was originally generally wide and looked uneven, and especially because of the cheekbones sticking out to the sides and the angular square jaw, my face looked even bigger than it really was in front-facing photos There was also left-right asymmetry, so my impression changed a lot depending on the angle. That’s why I started looking into cheekbone reduction, and since I was already at it, I also wanted to refine the jawline. The clinic was one my cousin had consulted at before, so I got a consultation with Director Lee Jihyeok. When I looked for contouring reviews, I did see a lot of result photos, but I thought it was more important whether they properly understood and explained the kind of look I wanted. Even during the consultation with Director Lee Jihyeok, rather than talking about cutting a lot no matter what, he explained step by step which parts of my face should be refined to make it look natural. After the CT scan, he showed me my facial bone condition and explained the directions for cheekbone reduction and square jaw surgery. I also brought up the filler I had had injected in my chin before, and he said it would probably be cleaner to dissolve the filler first and then refine the jawline together, so I ultimately decided on contouring type 2. Rather than recommending extra things, he explained things centered on the parts I was actually concerned about, so I think it felt less burdensome. Because it’s contouring surgery, saying it wasn’t uncomfortable at all would be a lie, and in the beginning I was a little careful even when opening my mouth or eating. Still, after following the instructions, doing the compresses, and receiving care through week 1, the discomfort eased a lot. The swelling went down at different speeds in the cheekbone reduction area and the square-jaw area, but daily life was more manageable than I expected, and even though there is still some residual swelling, I can feel that the width of my face has become narrower from the front. Since I had contouring type 2 done together, the line from the cheekbones to the jaw has also become softer than before, and when I take photos my face shape looks less uneven, so I’m satisfied. This is a review that honestly records the recovery process too, so once a little more time passes, I plan to add how the changes look. Right now, the cheekbone-reduced area is settling in naturally and the square-jaw line is also gradually being refined. Before contouring surgery, I worried that if it changed too obviously, what would I do, but so far it feels like only the weak points of my face have been naturally tidied up, which I like. I’ve seen many reviews saying contouring type 2 takes a long time for the swelling to go down, so I don’t think this is the final result yet. Still, I’m looking forward to seeing how the line settles once the residual swelling goes down even more!!!
