Nose Surgery Reviews

You shouldn't mess with your nose carelessly. I ended up having silicone removal surgery (VN)

After my nose surgery, the first 1 or 2 years were good. But around the third year? It started to feel like my nose kept changing somehow. It wasn’t contracture, but it felt like it was kind of sinking?? I had used silicone, and it wasn’t even inserted low (I put in 3 mm), so I went back to the clinic where I had the surgery and got a consultation. They said the silicone could be getting absorbed?? and that the bridge could become lower, and they subtly tried to steer me toward revision surgery too?(the A/S period was over, sigh...) At first I was tempted and thought about getting a revision, but after hearing the cost I said bye. I asked a friend who just speaks bluntly and they said that when they looked at it, it didn’t seem that strange, so I just kept living with it like that. But earlier this year I noticed my nose had sunk down more. I felt like I couldn’t leave it like this, so I started looking into revision surgery again. Then it suddenly crossed my mind: if I just replace the implant and put another one in, is there any guarantee this won’t happen again later? So I started looking into complete implant removal instead. There were a bunch of different ways to remove the implant. I went to a few consultations, and some places could do it closed, some couldn’t. In the case of VN, where I had the surgery, it seemed like they also do a lot of Shasa nose cartilage-particle cases, but if you just yank out the silicone removal alone, the nose shape won’t look pretty, so I had surgery that also corrected the nasal bone, fixed the crooked nose, and lifted the tip a bit! Since it was done closed, recovery after surgery was pretty good too. In fact, because they corrected the crooked nose, the bridge looks much more natural and clean than when I had silicone in it. My whole look got a bit cleaner too. If I had known I could correct my nose like this from the start, I should have done it this way
