Eye Surgery Reviews

I had double-eyelid incision surgery (revision) at Jena

I had my first incision + ptosis correction in 2020, but over time it gradually loosened, so I ended up getting revision surgery! I consulted with a total of four hospitals, and this was the only place where the director personally did the consultation, and there was no pressure at all, so I chose Jena. (At each hospital, they checked the double-eyelid line once, and I also chose this place because I liked it the most.) Since it was my second surgery, I had a lot of worries and asked many questions, but they explained everything in detail one by one, which gave me confidence! So I decided to have double-eyelid incision surgery and ptosis correction, went to the hospital on the day of surgery, had my face cleansed, waited a bit, and then went into surgery almost right away. Before the surgery, the director drew the line directly with a pen, and it really seemed like they were checking it very carefully! Drawing the line took longer than I expected, but I actually liked that they were being so cautious. The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, so I didn’t feel any pain when I got the local anesthesia injections! Then, after all the injections were done and I started to regain awareness, the pain felt pretty strong from that point From what I heard from friends who had surgery at Jena, they said they didn’t feel any pain at all, but for me it hurt a little. Still, it wasn’t to the point of screaming, and it was tolerable! I just kept waiting for the surgery to end quickly.. After the surgery, I was given instructions and went home. Until I got home, it hurt a little, but after taking the medicine they gave me at the hospital and resting, I felt better right away! Since it was a revision surgery, I was already expecting a lot of swelling and bruising, but it was even worse than I thought. The next day after surgery, the director checked my condition and gave me a swelling shot, and from that point on the swelling and bruising seemed to go down really quickly! I felt that aftercare was very good in this part. And once the stitches came out, the swelling really started going down fast! As of when I’m writing this review, it still hasn’t all gone down, but considering it hasn’t even been a month yet, I think it’s going down well. I like the line, and above all, I was happy that I could return to daily life faster than I expected. I think I started meeting friends again about two weeks after surgery..? At first, I was a little stressed because I thought one side’s line was maybe thicker.. but as the swelling went down, it evened out! Until the swelling is fully gone, it may look a little uneven, so I don’t think you need to be too stressed about that! I’m very satisfied right now, and once the swelling is completely gone, I think I’ll like it even more! The director was also kind, so even if I get something else done later, I think I’d go to Jena again.
