Before surgery, the things I wanted most were: 1. Natural-looking results 2. I did not want my image to change too much 3. (But looking at the photo side by side, it really did change a lot) I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery + front and upper canthoplasty together, and originally I was only thinking about front canthoplasty, but after seeing the design the doctor planned, I immediately decided to do upper canthoplasty too The feeling is very different between just front canthoplasty and doing upper canthoplasty as well.
What bothered me most was that my eyes looked harsh, and the upper canthoplasty helped the most in making my eyes look softer!! Because the inner corner starts rounded from the very front, it looks much gentler. Anyway, I had both front and upper widening done, but the double eyelid line was kept very thin, around an inline style, so it looks natural, like my own eyes It took about three weeks to a month for the redness from the canthoplasty and for the wounds to heal, and the swelling from the double eyelid surgery started to look natural from around the second week because the line was thin. It took about two months?? for the remaining swelling to completely go down. But from the second week I could already see the outline of the line and confirm there was no asymmetry, so after that I did not worry much... If anything, I took extra careful care because I was worried about scarring in the widened areas I also received aftercare at the clinic and worked hard on it at home, so thanks to that it is almost invisible. Even when I am bare-faced, I do not worry about it at all???
There is nothing special about my search method, really. I just went around several communities, looked at review photos, and also got recommendations from friends before deciding. In the end, I had the surgery at a place where a friend had done well, and honestly, I think getting it done where someone you know had a good result is the most comfortable and best. So before surgery, I was not even really nervous!!
