Eye Surgery Considerations

Miso-U review

I was told that only septal cartilage had been used in the first surgery, but at this one clinic, they were the only ones who felt the tip of my nose and said that with that level of firmness, it didn’t seem like only septal cartilage had been used. They said the nasal tip shape is expected to become sharper over time. Sedation for 1 hour + local anesthesia. They prepare ear cartilage before surgery (they said they may or may not use it, but they always prepare ear cartilage before going into surgery). One more scar on the columella. Dermis may also be used. Splint for one week / disinfection every other day / outpatient visit after one month. Surgery needs to be booked two months in advance. I wanted removal because the tip felt too sharp, but they spoke to me almost scoldingly, saying, ‘Wasn’t your original nose blunt, so wasn’t that why you wanted surgery?’ and I decided I couldn’t do surgery here. Their position was basically, ‘We can’t guarantee the shape after removal, so you have to accept everything and go ahead with the surgery,’ but I felt that if someone is a plastic surgeon, a more responsible attitude would be to explain the situations that could happen after surgery and how they could reinforce or support the structure. When I mentioned the parts I was worried about, even the consultation manager was like, ‘Then just remove it,’ or ‘Then get a revision,’ so it felt like communication just wasn’t working.
