Eye Surgery Reviews

Dr. Romi review

This is my second eye revision surgery and I went in for a consultation because the sausage-like look hadn’t gone away. They said that since it had been over a year since my revision surgery, another surgery was possible. I’ve only had my eyes done twice, and because a lot of skin was excised in the previous surgery, they didn’t recommend cutting along the space between the existing lines since that could make it harder to close my eyes fully. Instead, they explained a method of creating a new line with double-incision cutting and releasing the existing adhesions. At first I heard a lot of talk about double-incision cutting and worried there might be two scar lines left, but they said my current scar is a fake scar caused by adhesions, so if the adhesions are released the chance of it remaining as two lines is low, which reassured me a bit. I’ve now learned that sausage eyes aren’t just about the shape, but that the functional side also has to be considered because of the thickened tissue. It’s a re-revision surgery, so I’m still torn, but I think my thoughts changed a lot after the consultation. The director talks a lot, so I’d recommend going as the last appointment or leaving some time before going.
