I went for a consultation because my old L-shaped silicone was showing through. Since I had only had surgery with silicone in the past, they said I would not need to worry about collapse or lifting after removal, and that the compressed nasal bone and skin would recover over time, and that I would return to my original nose.. The operation took about 1 hour and 30 minutes with a closed approach, and they said they were repositioning the cartilage without tying it with separate sutures, so I am a little worried whether cartilage that had been compressed for a long time will hold up well. Revision surgery
