It seems like they prefer buried sutures. When I was younger, they said buried sutures were better, and if an eye doesn’t really need anything done, buried sutures are better too (with the nuance of: later on, after a few years, it can sag and then you’d need revision surgery, so why bother?). For me, since I wanted buried sutures, I think it was a good consultation.
