For my first double-eyelid surgery, I visited my nth clinic after a lot of online research and in-person visits. The doctor was warm and kind, and after holding my forehead and asking me to open my eyes, he said that at this level I wouldn't need ptosis correction. He said if the line was made too large, my eyes would be blocked by my inner epicanthic folds, and it would just look like I was staring with round eyes. He said if we opened it up with an epicanthoplasty, it would look fresher, but it wasn't essential, so it was up to me. At that time I was too worried about side effects from epicanthoplasty at that community
