Because the tip of my nose was upturned, my nostrils showed too much from the front, so I got nose surgery to improve that and raise the bridge a bit! At first, the swelling inside my nose didn’t really make me feel uncomfortable except for having to breathe through my mouth, and the swelling went down quickly with frequent compresses and some walking. Once the swelling at the tip went down, the nostrils that had looked overly open improved too, and it didn’t make my midface look long either, so it didn’t feel awkward
