Before<surgery before>After<surgery after>After<surgery after>My nose wasn’t exactly low, but because it had a hump, my side profile had stressed me out every time I took photos since I was young, so I’d only been thinking about it. I have an older sister who had revision rhinoplasty 4 or 5 times, who said after surgery she couldn’t breathe well and had to block one side of her nose to breathe, and I saw her struggle a lotㅠ I also heard so many times that there may be people who have never done their nose, but no one only does it once, so I think it wasn’t easy to decide on surgery. Actually, with double-eyelid surgery, I had gone to more than ten consultations and wasn’t scaredㅎ But since it was a hump and seemed like it would need shaving, I was scared and worried something could go wrong, so I kept putting it off. Thanks to an acquaintance who had many revision surgeries, as soon as I made up my mind I got a recommendation, had a nose consultation without really shopping around, and came back after surgery with everything done well. It was my first surgery, but the director has long experience and is famous for revision rhinoplasty, so I went in with a firm determination to absolutely never need revision surgery..
I had osteotomy for the hump nose and lifted the nasal tip with ear cartilage. I showed several photos, got recommendations, and the consultation alone seemed to take over 40 minutesㅎ It’s only been a little over 1 week, so more swelling will go down, but I think the line came out well. The naturally glamorous style I was aiming forㅎㅎ
The day after surgery, the swelling was severe, so for about 3 days I frequently applied ice packs around both eyes. I heard light walks are good, but it was cold so I couldn’t go out, and I kept walking on the walking pad in the living room while watching TV whenever I thought of it. The bruising had moved downward a bit, and the swelling went down really quickly. When I went to the hospital to remove the splint, everyone was surprised and I got lots of compliments that the swelling had gone down really fastㅎ Looking in the mirror now at a flat nose bridge and a defined, high nasal tip instead of the hump nose that used to stress me out, I think I’m glad I had the surgery~ I spent all that time just worrying for nothing. I’ll post another review after a little more time passes. I have so much to say about the eyes that it’ll be long-windedㅎㅎ I’ll try posting a consultation review soon.
