3 or 4 years ago I had double eyelid surgery at another clinic, but ever since the surgery, or maybe because of my original small eye shape, the outer corners of my eyes felt like they were tilted up more. People around me also often said I looked a little intense, so it bothered me quietly
My eyes have always looked a bit tight like small clam eyes, so I felt like I had to do outer canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty makeup just to look a little softer, and I wanted to look gentle like a puppy even without makeup.
I had outer canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty done by Director Kim Tae-woon at ㅇㅇㄷ Hospital. I told him I did not want eyes that were widened too much, but that I wanted to reduce the cramped small-clam-eye feeling and just lower the outer corners a little so the impression would soften.
The director understood exactly what I meant and explained the directions for outer canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty that would suit my eyes! The principles and aesthetics that had felt a little difficult when I saw them in other reviews were much easier to understand once I heard them myself.
And since I had to go straight back to work after surgery and said it would be hard for me to come in to remove the stitches, they used dissolvable thread for me!
It has now been about a month, so I am leaving a review of how it feels now. The big swelling has almost gone down, and the redness has also calmed down a lot! Thanks to the outer canthoplasty, the horizontal length of my eyes looks naturally longer, and thanks to the lower canthoplasty, the outer corners that used to look raised have come down a little, so my overall impression has softened. I saw in other people's reviews that sometimes the canthoplasty area can stick back together, so I was worried, but so far the shape has been maintained just as it was when the stitches were removed, and the canthoplasty line is not too overdone, so I am satisfied Now even if I wear big contacts, I do not have that cramped small-clam-eye feeling anymore. Happy.
