I went for a consultation because I thought my old straight silicone implant had caused the tip of my nose to drop, so I wanted a revision. Since they said they had a lot of experience, my expectations were high. I could also see asymmetry I had not noticed before once I took photos. They said they could use custom silicone to correct a bit of the asymmetry, and I hope it goes well. I had a CT scan, face photos, and then the consultation. I was glad they did not bring up a functional nose option that other places often recommend, and they suggested removing the existing silicone and using silicone again. I am not sure whether my nose is the kind that cannot do well without an implant... They said I do not absolutely have to use autologous costal cartilage, and that donated costal cartilage would also be fine, so for now I am thinking about donated costal cartilage.
