Eye Surgery Considerations

ID review from a community

This was my first nose surgery, and honestly I booked it in a hurry without visiting other hospitals and went ahead with the operation. The surgeon was the one the manager randomly matched me with, but after the consultation I wanted to see other surgeons too after reading reviews, so I asked for more consultations. Because of scheduling issues and also because I just wanted to get it done quickly, I ended up booking with the first surgeon I had consulted with. If I could go back, I would research thoroughly and choose the hospital more carefully. Why? Because before even one year had passed, the silicone warped as if it was popping out, so I got revision care, but even after that, maybe it is just my feeling, it seems slightly bent again. The only advantage of this hospital that I know is the price (maybe that is just how large hospitals are?). But even if it costs more, I think the nose is something better done at a one-doctor clinic, and if I could go back, I think I would do that too. Still, apart from the bending, the line is pretty, and they did not make any excessive recommendations, but the explanation was too lacking. If I were to have surgery with this surgeon, I think I would need to prepare a full list of questions and ask them one by one. Before going into surgery, they did not tell me how much they would raise it, or how many millimeters of silicone they would insert. Usually they seem to do simulations with 3D or something like that, but there was nothing like that here, and they did not even draw anything to explain it! Haha. But I was also very ignorant, so I just lay down on the operating table lol. Now that I have completed revision care: I have become obsessed with noses and want to do it again with autologous costal cartilage.
