Eye Surgery Reviews

[Clinic A] review

I’ve always had a lot of fat in my eyes, so I got double eyelid surgery. I remember the price was around 3.4 million won at the time. I can’t remember the exact price, so I’m just writing something for now. Because I had a lot of fat, they said fat removal was essential, so at the time they did everything except lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty: fat removal, eyelid reshaping, epicanthoplasty, and so on. I knew my eyes had a lot of fat, so I said I wanted incisional surgery, but Director B was unwilling and said he had his own surgical method. Was that method partial incision? He said it was somewhere between suture and incision and that he would take care of it well himself. I had gone there through a recommendation from an acquaintance, so I trusted them and had the surgery. I was worried that if I had an incision I’d end up with sausage eyes, but they said they’d do a good job, so I trusted them and followed their lead. But before even 3 months had passed, my eyes started to loosen little by little. First, the swelling just wouldn’t go down, so I visited the clinic. They had me lie back in a chair and wait. The director came over, said, yeah, it’s pretty swollen, told me to close my eyes, and then immediately injected something into my eyes. There was no explanation. My parents were next to me, but I was so shocked. I remember it was an injection for swelling. After that, my eyes gradually kept loosening more and more. Now, 3 years later, it’s loosened so much. Completely loosened, in fact. At first I even thought it had loosened naturally, so I was satisfied. It looked too much like sausage eyes and I didn’t like it.. I had originally planned to get aftercare, but since it looked even more like sausage eyes before, I decided to live with the loosened state and canceled it. So recently I went in for a consultation to get reoperation, but they said I had to meet the doctor, so I made an appointment and went. The director’s round time was fixed, so I consulted with the manager and then waited about 2 more hours. There was no advance notice, so honestly I was a little confused, but since I came from far away I decided to wait. Finally I saw the director, but he left in less than 3 minutes. The consultation was really sloppy too. I don’t know whether he thought I looked like a pushover because I came back after things loosened here, but I had waited 2 hours and just wanted to get a proper eye consultation. The first thing he said when he came in was, yeah, it’s loosened.. Then he shaped the line once and said something like, it’ll work like this, and was about to leave;; But the line he drew was trash too. I was so flustered that I stopped the director as he was leaving and asked if the line wasn’t too strong, and he said, oh no, if I do it, it won’t come out like that~ while his body was already headed for the door. Maybe he was really busy, I don’t know, but it honestly felt very insincere. When I asked when I could properly set the line, he said it could only be done inside the operating room, which shocked me. I wondered if this is what a consultation is supposed to be So the manager asked what I wanted to do about the surgery date, and when I said I’d decide later, she said, you should keep in mind the price will go up if you decide later^^, so I just left without booking. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but please take this post as a warning!!
