Review after lens implantation at 21, about 2 years later

My myopia was around -6, and I also had astigmatism, but not severe. I got consultations at two hospitals! One was here, and the other was the ophthalmology clinic I had been going to because of ortho-k lenses. That clinic mainly treated cataracts and glaucoma, though. Still, I had been going there often, so I figured I would get a consultation there too. Anyway, after getting examined and consulted here, they said that because I had worn ortho-k lenses, my cornea was thin, so I could not correct my vision with LASIK or LASEK. They also checked things like whether there was enough space for the lens to go in... and so on. They said that for a lens for myopia, it is fine even if it rotates inside the eye, but an astigmatism-correcting lens must not rotate inside the eye. However, my eye was the kind where the lens could rotate inside, and since my astigmatism was not that severe, they said it would still have a clear vision-correcting effect even if we proceeded with just the myopia lens. They said if the astigmatism got too severe, it could be corrected with LASEK. So I scheduled the surgery and went ahead with it. They put in eye drops for local anesthesia, I put on the surgical gown, and after going into the operating room and lying down, they told me to look at the very strong light in front of me. I had already been given dilation drops so staring at such a strong light was so dazzling that that was the hardest part. Still, I did not have to worry about blinking!! They used strong tape to make sure I could not close my eyes. Maybe because I use my phone a lot, right now I am not at 1.0, but around 0.8 to 0.9.. I did my best not to use my phone in the dark and not go to the movie theater much, and I also avoided rubbing my eyes, but still it ended up like that;; Maybe I did it a bit too young. Still, I am completely satisfied!! My dry eye is one million times better than when I was wearing lenses.
