Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

My side profile really changed! ... 8-month review after double jaw surgery!

It has already been 8 months since I had double jaw surgery. I had the surgery with Director Shin Hee-jin at Yi Oral and Maxillofacial Hospital! Since quite a bit of time has passed, my face is now generally very stable. This time I focused on taking photos from the side, and compared with before surgery, I could clearly feel a big difference in the line. As the jawline became naturally refined, the side profile became much softer and cleaner, which is the most satisfying part! In the beginning, the swelling made it hard to see the change, so I felt frustrated too, but as time passed the contours became clearer and the overall proportions started to feel more balanced. Now it does not feel like I changed too drastically, but more like my original face has been naturally refined, which makes me even happier. Before, when I took side-profile photos, I was very conscious of my jaw and mouth area and worried a lot about angles, but now that burden is almost gone. Even if I just take a casual photo, the line looks neat, so taking pictures has become much easier haha. I am also still satisfied with the functional side of things. Since my bite is fitting in a stable way, chewing is so comfortable, and I have no discomfort when eating. As time goes by, it feels like I am adapting even more naturally, so it does not bother me at all in daily life. I also had a lot of worries about side effects, but so far I have had almost no sensory changes or pain, which I am really happy about. I followed the hospital's instructions carefully during recovery, so I think I have come this far without any major concerns. Now that I am at 8 months, I feel even more certain that I made the right decision by having the surgery. It is not an overly dramatic change, but a naturally prettier and more refined look, so my satisfaction keeps growing as time passes! If you are thinking about surgery, I think that if you just endure the early recovery period and take good care of yourself, you can definitely feel the kind of gradual improvement I did. I really felt that it is important to proceed safely at a hospital you can trust 🩷
