I got silicone removed at V and succeeded on the 3rd try with my nose..

My rhinoplasty timeline is a bit dramatic.. 👉 7 years ago, open rhinoplasty 👉 5 years ago, revision rhinoplasty by open approach.. Five years ago, I thought it would be my last surgery, so I had surgery with silicone and autologous costal cartilage, but the silicone became crooked and the tip of my nose gradually started to show.. it almost looked like it would break through. You can even tell the tip well in photos.. I absolutely wanted the silicone removed, and I wanted a revision with no implant, but there were no hospitals that said I could do exactly what I wanted I visited several places for consultations, but in the end I had surgery with Dr. Oh Seung-il at V. The doctor said that since the nose had already had two rhinoplasties, an open revision would be better than a closed revision The other hospitals I visited also said we should do it open, so I had expected that and agreed. Instead, we decided to remove as much of the support structure as possible and leave only what was necessary. In the end, I compromised with reality as much as I could But do you know what is ridiculous?????? The next day after surgery, when I got the explanation, they said the surgery went well and that donor rib cartilage had been inserted for a long segment.. I also had autologous rib cartilage in there and some of it was reused, but when I heard them say they did not know why donor rib cartilage had been used, I was seriously thinking about confronting the hospital where I had the previous surgery;;; I was annoyed and angry, but since they said it was removed well anyway, I did feel a bit better.. The step created after removing the silicone was reinforced with ear cartilage, so the line is also clean.. The stiffness at the tip of my nose has also decreased a lot, and the feeling that it might break through is gone, so my anxiety has gone down.. I feel mentally much clearer The bridge also looked less crooked after removing the silicone, and now my nose just looks natural on my face. But I already thought my face was asymmetrical, so I had expected that it would be hard to make it perfectly straight like a ruler..? When I was looking into surgery, other hospitals had all kinds of opinions in their consultations too, like that removal would collapse the nose, or that because of the autologous rib they would have to use donor rib again, and so on. In the middle of all that, when I looked at reviews for this hospital, it seemed like they reused as much cartilage as possible first, and for people wanting removal, they seemed to try to do only the minimum necessary surgery. So I went in for consultation thinking it would be my final one, and the hooked nose was corrected too.. I really think getting the removal and revision done was a million times the right choice 😭 😭
