I’m Considering Revision Eye Surgery (Long Post)

About 6 or 7 years ago, I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery with natural adhesion, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty. The clinic is still known as a good place, and I liked the designs in the reviews, the reviews were good, and since it was my first surgery, I chose a cheaper place that did non-incisional surgery. But it didn’t suit me. They designed it roughly, didn’t check my progress, and the epicanthoplasty didn’t correct my Mongolian folds or the rounded inner corners of my eyes. I just lived with it, but my double eyelids have completely rolled inward, so I’m doing online research and going around to consultations for revision surgery. My forehead droops, and during my first surgery consultation, there was also a place that told me to get a forehead lift. But at the time, forehead lifts weren’t that well known, there weren’t many reviews, and it was too expensive, so I only got ptosis correction. Now I keep opening my eyes with my forehead, my eyes look half-closed and sleepy, and they feel heavy, as if they’re being pressed down. But I didn’t know non-incisional ptosis correction could come undone, and apparently it can. Anyway, that was a long explanation, but with a forehead lift, it can droop again, cause hair loss, and anyway, since it separates the skin and muscle? I’d have to keep getting lifting treatments, and it feels like it would be a major surgery. So I was trying to solve it with double eyelid surgery first, and I originally hadn’t even considered incisional surgery at all. Same with ptosis correction.. I want eyes that are natural but glamorous? Something like a semi-outfold, and I want the inner corners of my eyes to be sharp. So based on places where I liked the line and where the pre-op inner corners looked similar to mine, I made a list of 4 clinics to visit: Dress Hong Yellow Lee IQ Zestar Choi Among them, Dress, Yellow, and IQ all said non-incisional surgery would be possible. (During my first-surgery consultations, one clinic had recommended a forehead lift because of my forehead, and when I went to a consultation at a forehead lift specialty clinic, they also diagnosed me as having the kind of forehead that needs a forehead lift.) I also asked all 3 places whether my double eyelids would roll inward again, but they all told me to do it non-incisionally. At Dress, they said they would do ptosis correction if I wanted it. The doctor seemed busy and a bit cold? It felt too much like a factory?? and they pressured me to put down a deposit. At Yellow, they said it would roll inward again later (it was something like that, I don’t remember clearly). And they said epicanthoplasty couldn’t make the inner corners sharp because of my eye shape. They were kind. There was also some pressure? to put down a deposit here. At IQ, the consultant was really unfriendly and kind of diagnosed me herself first, saying it didn’t seem possible. The doctor also didn’t even look at the eye photos I wanted, and just said he would slightly raise the line according to what he wanted, that a semi-outfold wasn’t possible, and he didn’t really consult thoroughly about the double eyelid rolling inward. Regarding the rolling-in double eyelid, he said something similar to Yellow. There was no pressure to put down a deposit here, and it felt like, think about it and do it if you want. At Zestar, as soon as I went in, they measured things like eye length and angle, and this was the first place I’d seen do that. Even though I hadn’t said anything, the doctor first picked up on the discomfort I was feeling. He said my eye-opening strength is weak, so I’m opening my eyes with my forehead. A forehead lift would be good too, but I can do that later if I want; for now, I need ptosis correction. But since I’ve already had non-incisional surgery on my eyes, doing it non-incisionally again won’t bring much improvement. He said non-incisional surgery is possible, but recommended incisional surgery, and he explained in detail what my eyes would be like with incisional surgery versus non-incisional surgery. He also said the reason other places recommended non-incisional surgery is because my double eyelids still haven’t come undone until now, and if you only look at the double eyelids, non-incisional is fine, but it won’t improve the half-closed, sleepy-looking eyes or the line rolling inward. He also said the epicanthoplasty could make the inner corners sharp. So honestly, I liked Zestar the most, but the cost is 1.5 million won more expensive, and above all, they were the only place that recommended incisional surgery, so I’m torn. Still, it seems like it would definitely improve things, and they carefully showed me the differences, so I was thinking of going there. But after hearing what other people say, they say incisional surgery should be done at a place that specializes in eyes and is good at them, and that if non-incisional is possible, I should do non-incisional. But if it’s going to roll inward again with non-incisional surgery, I also feel like it might be better to just pay more, get incisional surgery, and not have to get surgery again., I wanted to hear some opinions. Would incisional surgery be better? And does Director Choi at Zestar do revision eye surgery well?? I saw that he doesn’t only do eyes but also does a lot of noses and other procedures. He seems to have the longest experience. Also, I’m going to a consultation at Idel this week too, but please leave your opinionsㅠ I’m sorry for rambling a bit because I’m not good at explaining thingsㅠ
