It has been 2 weeks since my nose surgery, so I am writing a review. These are photos I took before going out for an appointment at the 2-week mark, and I wanted to show different angles, so I took both front and side shots.
Even before surgery, my nose was not especially low and my bridge was high, but the tip was relatively low, so it looked like a character with a droopy nose. From the front, I always felt like my nose looked long and my midface looked long too. From the side, the tip sagged, so I simply did not like my nose. If it had been low to begin with, maybe I would not have minded, but... it just did not look harmonious.
So after thinking about it, I got nose surgery, and I deliberately looked only into the flashy style. If my nose had been small like I said earlier, I would have focused only on places that do natural work, but there was no way to erase an already high bridge. After looking through many reviews, I saw that the tip needed to be raised to match the bridge, so I thought it would definitely become more striking, and that is how I ended up looking into it.
I visited 3 hospitals. One recommended osteotomy, and the other 2 said to proceed without osteotomy. The reason for recommending osteotomy seemed to be just that my bridge was high and looked slightly crooked, without even doing a CT;; I got a CT at another hospital, and it turned out the inside was not crooked at all, so I did not get osteotomy.
One of the 2 places suggested silicone, but I did not want the bridge to get any higher, so I passed. So I had the surgery at [Clinic A], and only autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage were added to the nasal tip.
I wore a splint for a week, and during that time I did not go anywhere (by that I mean I did not go out for appointments, but I did go to a convenience store near my house and took walks nearby). Also, breathing only through my mouth was not a problem during the day, but at night it was a bit... my lips got very dry and even turned white like dandruff. I bought lip balm for the first time lol.
When the splint came off, it felt better than expected, but there was still a heavy and slightly numb feeling around the nose. I think that feeling lasted for about 2 weeks. Since it is still only the 2-week mark, I think the swelling will go down more, and I did not have much bruising either, so I have been able to handle daily life comfortably since the splint came off.
I need to take a new interview photo next week, so I will go to a photo studio, but at this point, do you think it would be fine to just take it? By evening, the swelling feels even more reduced than here.
I had also been wondering whether to do it or not, so even though I hesitated when paying, looking at it now I think I made the right choice.
