One Month After Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery, Lower Eye Fat Repositioning, and Hump Nose Surgery

Hello. I had always been bothered by my large, long protruding hump nose, and by what you could call double eyelids or perhaps just wrinkles, with double creases on the eyelid area and bulging fat under the eyes that made me look tired. But to be honest, I also had some thoughts like, why would a man get eye or nose cosmetic surgery? However, when I asked the gym trainer about his nose because it looked so great, he said he had nose surgery using autologous costal cartilage. At first I did not even know what autologous costal cartilage was, but since he turned out so well, I asked which hospital he had gone to, and it was Al Yu Plastic Surgery, so I booked an appointment through an acquaintance's recommendation. After booking, I said I was worried about my eyes and nose, and the manager gave me a brief explanation. Then I was connected to the chief physician, who explained that for the eyes, to address the tired look, the double crease, and the puffy under-eye area, I would need lower eyelid fat repositioning as well, and that for the double-crease issue with the eyelids, incisional eye correction was recommended. Thinking back to when I was young, I used to think that when girls got double eyelids with an incision, they ended up with sausage-like eyes, so I had the prejudice that incision always looked obvious. But I learned that incisional and non-incisional methods are not the measure of naturalness, and that if a case that really needs an incision is treated non-incisionally, it can actually end up creating the sausage-eye look I was worried about. He explained everything one by one in a surgical plan tailored to my eye level. For the nose surgery too, since my nose itself was big and long, he said he would keep it as natural as possible while clearly correcting the hump, which looked like a bump, and lift the tip with autologous costal cartilage. In fact, because someone around me had already had a successful surgery, and because the chief physician, manager, and staff were all warm and cheerful, I decided this was a place where I could trust them and go ahead with surgery. Since I had lower eyelid fat repositioning, incisional eye correction, autologous costal cartilage, and hump nose surgery all at once, I did get a lot of bruising and swelling, so it is true that I worried a lot during weeks 1 to 2. Still, whenever I was worried, the manager comforted me well, and when they told me to come often for swelling-laser treatment, I even stopped by extra when I had errands nearby. Also, the chief physician personally handled the disinfection and removal of the splint, which was reassuring. I was glad I could ask right away about autologous costal cartilage pain and when I could start exercising after nose surgery. It has now been one month, and although both my eyes and nose still appear to have a lot of swelling, all the issues I thought were problems have improved well, and I am satisfied. Thank you to Dr. Kim Hyeonju for the careful and neat surgery.
