It's been 2 months since the surgery, and I think the scar is healing well! He has a lot of eyebrow hair, so even though it's still in the stage where it gets red, it's covered up and doesn't show well lol.
My dad was handsome when he was younger, with no drooping eyelids and a clean look, but I guess he started feeling his eyelids sag more and more. He didn't want to create a double eyelid, though, so instead of double eyelid surgery, we looked for a way to lift the drooping eyelid and searched hospitals with decent reviews for male middle-aged surgery together!
I never thought I'd be taking my dad around for something cosmetic, but surprisingly, he talked more than I expected lol. We also visited other hospitals, but I could see that he and Director [Doctor A] had good chemistry, so he decided to have the surgery here. The director recommended a brow lift rather than upper blepharoplasty if he wanted the old look back, and I was worried about scars, but from the reviews they showed us, it looked like they make the incision right under the eyebrow line, so it seemed like they do a good job of keeping it hidden.
Rather than giving my dad a strong double eyelid, I thought it would be better to just tidy up the sagging part neatly, so he had only the brow lift done, just as the director recommended! It's now 2 months later, so there is only a little residual swelling left, and when I look at his eyes it feels like he has become 10 years younger lol. He also says opening his eyes feels much more comfortable than before. Every time we went to see the director after surgery, he checked the progress himself!
I was grateful that he said so many good things about the recovery. Seeing what he does, I could really feel why this hospital is so popular for middle-aged surgery. If anyone is thinking about surgery for a similar reason, I really recommend it hehe.
