My nose originally has a columella that projects a bit forward, and the tip also looks slightly triangular and droops downward, so when I thought about rhinoplasty, the nasolabial angle was the main thing I cared about. I was looking around for places that could refine it naturally, without making it look too lifted or artificial. I recently went for a consultation at Nana, and it was better than I expected. I hadn’t even prepared a question list, but the director explained everything one by one, from the difference between a closed and an open approach to which method would suit my nose better based on my own structure. Since I wrote on the intake form that I was seeing an ENT specialist, I also got a CT scan done (it was free). It didn’t feel like a cursory look at all; it felt like they checked my nose very carefully. Even after the explanation ended, they kept saying to ask anything else if I was still curious, so people with lots of questions would probably be very satisfied with the consultation lol I was told that the plan would include nasolabial angle correction, and that the tip would use septal cartilage plus ear cartilage. At first I was also considering no implant, but they said that to get the shape I wanted, placing silicone through an open approach would give me higher satisfaction, so that’s what I’m leaning toward now. Also, because I have a deviated septum and hypertrophic rhinitis as well, I decided to proceed with ENT treatment too, and once I heard that insurance reimbursement could apply, the cost burden did feel a bit lighter. For now, I’m planning to visit just one more place, compare everything, and then I think I’ll make my final decision!
