Eye Surgery Reviews

Went to get consultations for eye revision surgery!

My eyes: I had incisional double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction 10 years ago, then got revision surgery. When I got the revision, they also did inner corner surgery and ptosis correction. There were scars at the ends of both lines, so the lines were extended in a wrinkled way. Protruding eyes. What I want to improve: 1. How can the rounded inner corners of my eyes (epicanthal folds?) be improved? (Is lowering the line alone enough?) 2. Mucosal eversion 3. Sausage eyes (lowering the line) Criteria for choosing a clinic: 1. Did they lower it well? 2. Are the eyes pretty? Clinic A temple/doctor consultation Consultation fee: 20,000 won, prepaid Progress visits on the day of surgery / 7 days later / 1 month later (showed celebrity photos) It is impossible to lower the inner corner as much as in the photo. The eyes are different from the start. Then can it be lowered even more than the line they drew? - If it is lowered more, it would look strange. We will make it more natural than the current eyes (but the line they drew also looked high). The mucosal eversion is because of a strong fixation. They will release it, but 10 years have passed, so it will not be easy. They will do fat repositioning near the inner corner of the eye. Ptosis correction will be included. Even if there is an epicanthal fold, inner corner surgery will not be done. The roundness of the eyes will not be improved much. Surgery time: about 2 hours Immediate booking: 5 million won; after that, mid-5 million range If the deposit is refunded, only 90 percent of the reservation deposit is returned Aftercare: 1 year Anesthesia fee: 330,000 won? I do not remember exactly There were not many cases of simple incisional sausage eyes I was disappointed when they said the parts I wanted to improve could not be improved. But I could not understand why the price was that high. Clinic B temple/doctor consultation Consultation fee: 10,000 won, but I did not pay it The manager was very kind... Before the consultation, they took eye photos with a DSLR and ran a program. Visits: surgery day / next day dressing change / 7 days later stitch removal, 3 visits total To improve the epicanthal fold, people usually do inner corner surgery, but absolutely not. However, the epicanthal fold can be corrected by lifting it with a re-canthal-widening procedure. That procedure requires scar care, and laser / injections / oral medication can be prescribed. In terms of proportions, my left eye has had more inner corner surgery, so I may look cross-eyed. If I have outer corner surgery on the left eye, it would look better. Mucosal eversion can be improved by making the fixation thinner. Orbital fat repositioning. Because there is not enough skin redundancy, two-line folding. Design: lower the front-to-middle line and keep the back line. They did not say things like 'it cannot be done' or 'we cannot do it' when I showed the photos. After applying discounts and events, it was in the mid-5 million range. If I made the decision that same day, it would be in the low-5 million range. But if I pay the pre-booking deposit, it is 50,000 won and non-refundable. However, it can be used for procedures at the clinic. Aftercare: 3 years It looked like they had many cases of sausage-eye revision surgery. Clinic C chief doctor Fat repositioning / ptosis correction / two-line folding This was a re-consultation 3 years later, and my original manager was not available, so I consulted with a different manager. They said there was no way to improve the epicanthal fold or mucosal eversion; they had never even heard of a method to improve those. Let's focus on improving the sausage-eye look. Anyway, once the sausage-eye look gets better, you will stop caring about the rest. (After showing photos of results they had operated on) This can be done. Let's go with this design. They said maybe it was caused by a bad canthoplasty, because too much of the red inner tissue was visible. My interpupillary distance is narrow, so I cannot have more corner surgery. (Then should it be closed?) No. If it were closed, the epicanthal fold would get worse. It is a dead end, so just accept it. My iris is not particularly small, but the sleepy look (covering a lot of the iris) can be improved through ptosis correction. Stitches are removed after 5 days. Swelling laser, injections, and so on are unlimited for one month. Aftercare is basically 1 year, but if the doctor says there is a problem, aftercare is possible even after a year. The problem is that my assigned manager was off today, so I could not get the exact price... For now it is in the 6 million won range. I liked the consultation at Clinic B, but after going to Clinic C it felt like they were saying everything I wanted could be done...
