Consultation Review for Soft Tissue Contouring and Revision Eye Surgery at N.N Plastic Surgery

I got a consultation for soft tissue contouring and revision eye surgery at N.N Plastic Surgery, with Dr. B.M.S. specifically assigned to me. The hospital is right next to the subway station, and the facilities felt like a hotel. The reason I chose Dr. B.M.S. was that there were the most reviews on the G.N sister app from people with a face shape similar to mine. The designated consultation fee is 20,000 won. I first consulted with the manager. The manager explained things in quite a lot of detail, but wasn’t very friendly. I was asking out of caution, and I was asking while already knowing the answer would obviously be that there wouldn’t be such side effects, but the tone still carried a bit of impatience and annoyance. I have a lot of sagging deep buccal fat, and it makes the area look uneven and bumpy, so I’ve tried various treatments to improve it. But neither thread lifting nor laser treatments improved it enough, so I looked into surgery. In the end, they said that even with soft tissue contouring, the deep buccal fat could not be improved to the extent I wanted, and that if I wanted the result I was after, I would need a facelift. They said soft tissue contouring would be a two-step procedure: a tiny incision at the temple area to lift the midface, and mint thread for the jawline. For my eyes, I had had incision double-eyelid surgery a long time ago, but as I got older the line gradually became lower and the area in front of the eyes started to feel cramped, so I wanted to improve it. The doctor looked at me and immediately figured out that I use my forehead muscles strongly to open my eyes. (Other clinics often say it isn’t that severe, but personally I think I rely on my forehead quite a lot to open my eyes.) To improve it, they recommended a forehead lift rather than focusing on the eyes, and said the inner corner could not be improved with a simple inner canthoplasty, and that I would need revision surgery to correct the front part of the eye line. After the consultation with the doctor, there was a bit of pressure to pay on the same day. When I filled out the consultation chart and put face as first priority and eyes as second, they didn’t even give me a quote for eye surgery. The soft tissue procedure was quoted at 880,000 won for the two-step treatment, and mint thread was quoted at 1.2 million. Since I didn’t want thread lifting if it was necessary, I said I would think about it. But because I had previously had thread lifting done cheaply at another place and the result was bad, they said it would be unfair if we assumed the same thing would happen at their hospital. I wanted to ask how they would know which hospital I had gone to and how much I had paid, but since I wasn’t going to do it anyway, I didn’t go that far. (I had previously paid over 1.9 million won at a clinic specializing in lifting.) The consultation result was disappointing, but that was due to the condition of my face, and it wasn’t a pleasant consultation because of the manager.
