Honestly, at first I hesitated a bit. It was not Thermage and it was not Ulthera, and I did not know what "Ulthera Prime" was. During the consultation, the doctor explained that it was an upgraded version of the original Ulthera and that it provides more thorough care by skin layer. But the real reason I decided to get the procedure was that lately my cheeks had started to feel like they were sagging differently from before. When I smiled, they did not lift as well as they used to, and when I took photos, I kept feeling like the weight was pulling downward, so I was a little shocked that this was already happening in my 20s lol. The procedure itself was more manageable than I expected. I had heard so many people say it hurts that I was nervous, but maybe because they applied the numbing cream carefully, it only felt like little stings, and only when they passed over the cheekbone area did I feel a slight throbbing sensation. But that lasted only briefly, and overall it was tolerable. When I looked in the mirror right after the treatment, there was not much visible except for a little redness. I had heard that procedures like this can cause a lot of swelling, so I was worried, but I hardly had any swelling and went to work the next day. There was a warm, burning feeling for a day or two, so I just kept moisturizing well. Now, two weeks later, when I wash my face in the morning and touch my cheeks, they feel a bit more firmly supported than before. I cannot help wondering if something real is changing, and that makes me weirdly excited lol. Another unexpected thing was makeup lasting power. My nasolabial area and the area under my cheeks used to collapse by afternoon, and my pores looked more noticeable, but these days even when I look in the mirror at night, everything stays in better shape than I expected. Maybe when the elasticity goes up, makeup adheres better too lol. I heard the full effect peaks at 2 to 3 months, so I keep thinking it will get even better than this, which makes me look forward to it. And if I get it again, I am already thinking I might want to combine it with a skin booster too, since I would like hydration and skin texture improvement as well lol.
