Revision Eye Surgery Consultation Review

First of all, it’s been about 5 years since I had incisional eye surgery, and I had ptosis correction done at the same time. I wanted an in-out line, but I don’t like that it turned out as a semi-out line, and more than anything, I’m bothered by the asymmetry between both eyes and the wrinkles in the front area (other people tell me not to do it, but it really bothers me;;), so I went around for consultations for revision surgery.

I’ve been to 3 places so far, and I’ll let you know after I visit the others too. I wanted to consult only with the chief directors. I work at a hospital too (not a plastic surgery clinic), and there’s a reason someone is the chief director.

Clinic/Doctor  ㄱㄴ / ㅇㄱㅎ First of all, the clinic was clean, and there was a bit of a wait for the consultation. There were about 6 consultation rooms? You go into one room, have a consultation with the consultant, wait, and then the doctor consults with you. He said I didn’t necessarily need to do it, but he still consulted with me according to what I wanted. The doctor was extremely meticulous in drawing the line, and his explanation was detailed and kind. After that, the consultant said that after the surgery, taking photos and writing a review on an app or something would be required, so I thought they were giving a discount, but they said that wasn’t the case.

ㅍ/ ??? The clinic was on the 1st floor right next to the sidewalk, so somehow it had more of a dental clinic vibe?? The consultation was quicker than I expected, but I’m not sure if they don’t let you designate a doctor. I’m pretty sure I designated a doctor when I made the reservation (not exactly sure because I called around to many places), but when I actually had the consultation, it wasn’t the chief director but a younger doctor, so I was a bit flustered? There were so many doctors that I wasn’t really sure who it was;; First, he said he wasn’t sure whether it would come out the way I wanted, and if I were to do it, he recommended an upper epicanthoplasty too. He also said it seemed like I didn’t need to do it, so I passed without getting much out of it.

ㅌㅍㅇㅅ/ㅅㅈㅅ It felt like an office building, and once I actually went inside the clinic, it was just clean. There wasn’t excessive friendliness, but that actually made me feel more comfortable, and the consultant seemed very professional. There was no pressure, and she consulted calmly and well. The doctor also looked at my eyes right away at first and said he’d prefer I didn’t do it, but since it’s about self-satisfaction, he examined my eyes anyway. He said that even after doing it, people around me might ask why I did it. He understood my needs accurately and explained the surgical method and expected results.

That’s it for now, and I’ll go to more consultations and leave another review.
