Review of a philtrum dimple procedure with Dr. Hwang Seung-hwan at Avant

I had always thought my philtrum was long and bland, so while looking into a philtrum dimple procedure, I consulted Dr. Hwang Seung-hwan. He told me that my philtrum was actually on the shorter side and that I did not need philtrum reduction, so I only had the dimple procedure done! At other hospitals, they do it with an intraoral incision and said it would be hard to create a curve, that only the center of the philtrum would sink slightly, and they even recommended philtrum reduction, so I chose Avant because during the consultation they only told me what was necessary and said they would do it with an incision inside the nose for a clear effect. After surgery, there was no pain at all, and the thing I was most worried about before surgery was the scar. But the doctor and the coordinator told me not to worry because the incision would be inside the nose and not visible on the outside, and it was true that even before removing the stitches after surgery, the stitches were barely visible from the front. Even now, about a week after stitch removal, I am not worried about the scar. I did not have philtrum reduction, but the philtrum definitely feels shorter, and with a slight philtrum groove and curve, the flat area naturally gained more dimension. Personally, I also like that my upper lip lifts a little and looks more voluminous. It is not too much, just naturally right, so I am satisfied. The big swelling seemed to last from about day 3 until around week 1, but it did not interfere with daily life. It is still day 10, so there seems to be a little swelling left, but I like it so much that I am actually hoping the swelling does not go down too much.
