People with narrow, closed-looking eyes know that even if the eyes themselves are not extremely small, they look very stuffy when the outer corners are completely closed. That was exactly me. I simply disliked my eyes, and my preference is the complete opposite—a round, puppy-like look—so I wanted to open up the outer corners a little. I had non-incisional ptosis correction, lateral canthoplasty, and lower canthoplasty together with Director Choi Woo-seok at [Clinic A]. Even without drastically changing my double eyelid, the overall mood of my eyes changed quite a lot. Creating space at the outer corners removed that cramped horizontal ending, and adding lower canthoplasty slightly lowered the outer ends, making me look gentler than before. Personally, I like this change more than simply making my eyes bigger. Since I also had ptosis correction, the inner sides look defined while the outer sides taper softly, and I think this combination is close to the puppy-like look I imagined, lol. I was worried that canthoplasty might make the eyes look abruptly opened in a red D-shape or leave the outer corners unnaturally stretched, but in my case it naturally created space that had been missing behind the eyes, so I was relieved. Looking at my old eyes, the ends were really closed off and stuffy, so now I understand why they looked so narrow. If my ideal had been glamorous, sharp eyes, I would have chosen a different direction, but I have always liked cute, gentle eyes, so the round, open look suits me much better 🐶
