Lately, when I took photos, the area under my chin looked especially thick, which bothered me. I had not gained a lot of weight, but my jawline had become less defined, and even slightly lowering my head showed a double chin, so I eventually looked into Ultherapy haha.
At first, I thought 400 shots would be distributed similarly over the whole face, but during the consultation I learned that was not the case. The doctor examined my face directly and said it would be better to focus more on the area under the chin and the jawline than the cheeks. Since areas with more facial fat differ from those without, they said they first design the treatment and then divide the 400 shots by area.
I liked that they said proper distribution to the areas my face actually needed was more important than treating unnecessary areas. The consulting doctor also performed the treatment, checking the positions from time to time while viewing the ultrasound. Perhaps because they have performed Ultherapy many times, they carefully identified which parts under the chin needed more tightening.
Honestly, it was not completely painless lol, but it was not painful all over or unbearable, so it was more manageable than expected. There was no inconvenience in daily life afterward. It has now been about a month, and I am satisfied because the area under my chin looks less heavy and my jawline looks subtly more defined.
It is not a dramatic change that suddenly makes my face look smaller, but in photos the line looks cleaner than before. I heard Ultherapy's effects can continue to develop over time, so I will keep watching the changes. I feel the 400 shots were distributed well toward the double-chin area I was most concerned about, so I am even more excited lol.
