Liposuction Reviews

One-week review of arm liposuction

I have always had a chubby build, but compared with my overall weight, all the fat was concentrated in my arms, and even when I had lost about 5 kg from my current weight, my arms still did not slim down at all, amazingly (about 33 cm around), so I decided to get arm liposuction.

My chest and ribcage are already a bit broad, and with upper arms this large too, my upper body looked even thicker. When buying tops, I had to choose clothes based only on my upper arms, so there were really not many things I could wear. That stress was huge lol.

I did not agonize over it for a long time. Since it was getting hot and I did not have much time left to do it, I chose a clinic where I could have the surgery on the schedule I wanted.

About 1,400 cc was removed. The side view has clearly changed dramatically, and the front view... the fat on the outer sides of my upper arms has definitely decreased a lot, but instead of becoming a straight line, the puffy feeling is still there, basically unchanged from before surgery. I guess I will have to wait and see over time.

I had the upper arms, side breast area, and the back area near the armpit done, and honestly the side breast area seems to have made a bigger difference. Visually, it has a lot of impact on making the line look slimmer.

On the day of surgery, maybe because the medication was still wearing off, it did not hurt much.

From day 2, my chest, upper arms, shoulders, and back all hurt lol. It felt like I had been beaten up badly. I had to move very carefully. But eating and things like that were all possible...

From day 3 after surgery, even washing my hair while bending forward became possible. It still felt like I had been beaten up lol. If I just stayed still, it did not hurt. With the compression garment on, my upper arm circumference was about 29 to 30 cm.

I went back to work on day 4! I could tie my hair low in the back with both hands... Actually, the bruising, which was not that noticeable right after surgery, got worse to the point that it spread all the way down to the backs of my hands, and the swelling continued all the way from my upper arms to my hands. Now, on day 7, the hand swelling feels like it has mostly gone down? My upper arms are still swollen. It seems like fibrosis may be starting, because the back of my upper arms is beginning to feel lumpy and hard. When measured without the compression garment at that point, the circumference was about 31 cm.

I guess I will have to wait at least a month before it shows a bit? I hope the bruising goes down before then. It is so hot I could die, but I still cannot wear short sleeves lol.
