Liposuction Reviews

Honest day-1 review of liposuction at Apgujeong Topline (before & after photos included)

Hospital info: Apgujeong Topline Procedure area: 360-degree arms + underarm + accessory breast tissue + scapular bra line Responsible coordinator: Coordinator Lee Seong-hee🖤 Originally I was worried about everything overall, including my abdomen, thighs, arms, and calves, and summer is coming so I wanted to wear sleeveless tops nicely, so I decided to start with arm lipo first! At first I was only thinking about the arms, underarms, and accessory breast tissue, but the bra line and back fat near the scapula also showed a lot in the before photos, so I was worried. The coordinator said those areas could be done together through the same arm incision anyway, so I ended up doing the scapular bra line too all at once! The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, and I had barely slept for 3 to 4 hours the night before because I was nervous, but they let me rest properly without someone deliberately waking me up or putting a hard time limit on sleeping, so I slept comfortably and woke up haha When I opened my eyes, it was already over, which was surprising, and honestly the pain was the part I worried about most before surgery, but I felt better than I expected!! Right after waking up I felt nothing because of the anesthesia, and after a few hours it felt like moderate muscle soreness..? That kind of level It didn’t hurt at all, but it was nowhere near as bad as I had feared, so I think I could do it again if I had to go back haha And the hospital sent me photos right after surgery, which shocked me🫢 I had already started to swell and bruise a bit as soon as I woke up, so I couldn’t really see the lines properly. But when I saw the immediate post-op photos, I was so happy with how the arm line and scapular bra line were shaped that I was honestly stunned 😆 Once the swelling goes down and those lines settle in like that, I think I’ll be extremely satisfied👍🏻👍🏻 Also, on the day of surgery, Coordinator Seong-hee stayed with me right up until just before I went into the operating room, checked my body and explained everything about the surgery in detail. Since it was my first surgery, I was very nervous, but she kept talking to me so I wouldn’t tense up, which was really nice. The nurses also kept checking whether I was okay and were kind, which I remember very well🤍 And personally, the most surprising part was the scapular bra line area..! My arms of course had bruising and swelling, but my back didn’t have any bruising or swelling..? The pain was only a throbbing ache, and since the incision was made on the arm side, there was nothing noticeable on the back either, so I even asked the coordinator, “Did you really do my back?” haha Of course I’m satisfied with the arms too, but personally I’m really, really satisfied with the scapular bra line. I have thick skin and a muscular build, so the coordinator honestly told me I wouldn’t get bony arms, and hearing that made me trust her a lot. I didn’t even expect that much, but apparently 3400 cc was removed. The coordinator had estimated around 2500 cc, but more came out than expected, so I’m super happy >_< When it came time to put on the compression garment, the staff gave me orange juice and helped me put it on directly after I woke up! But I misunderstood the wear time on the first day and took it off as soon as I got home, and since the swelling was so bad I couldn’t put it back on by myself 😫🤦🏻‍♀️ So I slept without the compression garment on the first day, but by the next day the swelling had gone down a bit! After that I’ve been wearing it diligently according to the time recommended by the hospital. At first, though, the arm swelling made it rub and it was hard to put on by myself, so I really regretted taking it off to wash up haha I read the precautions quite a few times, but I don’t know why I did something so foolish.. If anyone reading my post is like me, let’s not make the same mistake!! For that reason, if I had to pick one of the hardest parts after surgery, I’d probably say the compression garment. But as the swelling goes down, that part gets easier, so I think there’s no need to worry too much ~ I absolutely could move around in daily life! I can raise my arms too, but it doesn’t feel as freely and easily raised as before surgery yet, and there’s a slight stiffness Also, I walked home by myself without a guardian, and because the weather was hot and I walked for about 30 minutes, I started to feel a bit nauseous. But after drinking Pocari Sweat on the coordinator’s recommendation, I felt fine right away haha It’s only day 1, so I still need to watch the swelling and bruising, but overall I’m satisfied🤍 I’ll keep posting updates on how the swelling goes down and how the bruises change!
