Liposuction Reviews

Calf and Thigh Lipo, 5 Months In, and the Swelling Is Still Going Down!!

It’s already been 5 months since I had calf liposuction at Yonsei Image Line! It really feels like time has flown by haha. Right after surgery I kept wondering when the swelling would go down, and before I knew it I’d already come this far. During the first 1 to 2 months, the swelling and hard lumps made the changes seem smaller than I expected, so I was pretty anxious I kept wondering if it had really gone well and found myself staring at the mirror all the time haha. But around the 3-month mark, the lines started to get a little more defined, and now I can definitely feel the difference from before surgery. The outer line of my calves used to look round and thick, which stressed me out the most, but now the whole leg feels much slimmer! The fit of pants has changed too, and when I take photos, the leg line looks much more refined, so that’s the part I’m most satisfied with I went back to the hospital for my 5-month follow-up, and the doctor checked the condition carefully with ultrasound. I honestly thought that by 5 months recovery would be almost over, but they said there is still a little bit of edema fibrosis left! So they said this is still a period of change, and that as more time passes it may get even thinner than it is now, which got me excited again Going through it myself really made me realize that lipo is not a surgery where you look at the result right after surgery, but one that is completed gradually over time. In the beginning I was worried because of the swelling and because it felt slower than expected, but looking back, I understand why people say to wait at least 6 months. Another thing I liked every time I had a follow-up check was that they did not just look and end it there; they also checked my current condition and explained things in detail when I asked questions. This visit also included radiofrequency treatment while checking the condition, and I could hear about how things would change going forward, so I felt much more at ease There is still some minor swelling and a bit of edema fibrosis left, so I guess I need to wait a little longer for the final line, but up to now I am generally satisfied! It is changed so much that I can even remember how anxious I was at first haha. I am looking forward to seeing what I will look like once the remaining swelling is gone too (The photos are a comparison of before surgery / 5 months after!)
