My upper arms looked thick, and especially the side bulge was bad, so I was stressed for a long time because I looked bigger than my actual body shape. Even when I worked hard on exercise and diet and lost weight, my upper arm line didn’t change much, haha... I’d also tried fat-dissolving injections before, but didn’t get results I could be satisfied with.... So I decided to go through with arm LAMS after a lot of thinking because I wanted to define my arm line more clearly.
I thought a lot about whether to do liposuction or LAMS, and worried a lot too, but I think the biggest advantages of LAMS were that local anesthesia was possible, no compression garment was needed, and returning to daily life was fast.
▶ On the day of the procedure It took longer than I expected, and there was pain during the process of injecting the anesthetic solution and extracting fat. In particular, the front bulge area was so hard that I wanted to give up midway, but the director kept helping me relax and kept talking with me during the fat extraction process, so it ended safely and well~ haha
▶ Right after the procedure I had to wear bandages, and moving my arms was uncomfortable, so even everyday actions like tying my hair, washing my face, or lifting a cup were not easy. Personally, it wasn’t at the level of being able to live comfortably right away like I had seen in some reviews, and the early recovery period felt harder than I expected... hahaha T_T
▶ One month But about a month later, the swelling slowly started to go down and I could see the arm line being organized little by little, so it started to synergize with my diet!! There was still some hard lumpiness and numbness, but short sleeves felt roomier than before and my arms felt a little lighter too. The change was more like "it looks a little different" than dramatic, but because I could feel a different line than before, I started to feel satisfied!
▶ Two months This was when the change became much clearer! The side bulge and back bulge that stood out especially in attention posture were cleaned up a lot, and the line from the shoulder to the arm became much more natural and smooth, which was clearly visible. During this period, I also kept exercising and managing my diet steadily, and I lost weight too. There were times when I hit a plateau and felt mentally tired, but as a result of increasing exercise intensity and staying consistent, I was able to lose additional weight as well haha
▶ Three months Now at 12 weeks, meaning three full months, the parts I’m most satisfied with are the upper arm fat and the back bulge line. Before, when I raised my arms or stood at attention, the excess fat was noticeable, but now it looks much cleaner. With the arm line falling in a straighter line, my whole upper body looks slimmer, and clothes that used to feel burdensome, like slim-fit or sleeveless styles, now feel easy to wear naturally.
▶ Tips and aftercare I continued with aftercare such as hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions and low-to-mid frequency treatments, and I also paid attention to recovery and skin elasticity by increasing my water intake. Personally, continuing the diet consistently was harder than the procedure itself, but in the end I think consistency made the biggest difference.
In the end, my upper arm circumference decreased by about 6 cm and my body weight dropped by about 7 kg!!! I’m happy with the number changes, but the biggest change is that my overall silhouette looks different, which made me even more satisfied.
Of course, results and satisfaction can vary by person, but with LAMS helping to define my upper arm line, and with diet, exercise, and aftercare added on, I think I was able to get results beyond what I expected~ My goal from here is to keep up exercise, stretching, and water intake so I can maintain this line for a long time~ To all fellow dieters, fighting! I’m cheering for you~! If you leave questions in the comments, I’ll answer as best as I can and help as much as I know!
