Eye Surgery Reviews

Real experience of complications after suborbital repositioning in Sinsa (Hospital in violation of medical law.., ... being monitored with a guardian is apparently a violation of medical law.. )

※ Once something is already ruined, there is absolutely no way to reverse it. The hospital also cannot take responsibility. Because posts get temporarily handled and complication reviews become hard for consumers to see, it is difficult to make the right choice. Most apps and communities are full of only successful cases, so as someone who has had surgery myself, I hope you will check stories from places like Naver Cafe, Babitalk, Gangnam Unnie, and complication communities on surgery apps, and choose carefully.

I am also asking, as someone with surgery experience, that you check stories in multiple places, including Naver Cafe, Babitalk, Gangnam Unnie, and the complication communities on surgery apps, and make your choice carefully.

It has been 9 months since surgery. I had suborbital repositioning + nano fat grafting for dark circles + mid-cheek fat grafting all together.

▶ Symptom 1. One side of my face lost sensation after surgery From under the eyes to the cheekbones, nose, and lips, it feels prickly and electric, and when I touched my cheekbone, my lips felt sharp and numb? Depending on the weather, it can even feel cold, and the symptoms vary.

2. No improvement in dark circles. (Later, when I asked the hospital for before-and-after photos, they said they did not have any. I was told they discard them once all surgery is complete. I had been complaining of discomfort since after surgery; ... also, even though I repeatedly said during follow-up visits that I wanted to look at the photos and see whether there had been any improvement, I was not able to see my own photos.)

3. White scleral show (photo) One side under the eye feels stiff, as if it were fixed in place, and when I smile, it is clearly fixed and does not lift. They recommended repositioning and grafting for the dark circles, so I had it done, but not only did the dark circles not improve, the sensation also disappeared, so the stress is beyond words.

▶ Aftercare and response from the hospital 1. I cannot see my own photos (before/after). Even though I clearly complained about discomfort and said the dark circles had not improved, the photos were discarded. They found the pre-op photo I attached by looking it up from a hospital where I had surgery 5 years ago and uploaded that instead.; 2. It is difficult to make follow-up and consultation appointments with the doctor; maybe because it is a one-doctor hospital or because there are too few staff, but replies on KakaoTalk, phone calls, and inquiry responses are slow. There was a time I did not get a reply for a month. (When I asked why the replies were so slow, the answer was that they had posted guidance by KakaoTalk for new customers, existing patients, and consultation inquiries, so my message had been pushed down and found late. They said they were contacting people in order. In my whole life, including every hospital I have ever visited, this was the slowest hospital I had ever dealt with.) 3. They falsely told me that it would be a violation of medical law for a guardian to accompany me to the follow-up visit. (I even checked with a lawyer.) I did not ask only once; I also argued by phone several times, and since I thought I might have misunderstood, I asked in detail through KakaoTalk too (photo attached). I requested a follow-up appointment for my guardian to accompany me regarding the progress. (I had been told that it would be fine even three months later to match the doctor's schedule.) When I said I should go and hear it in person, they kept insisting that it would be an absolute violation of medical law and that the hospital would be responsible, so it could not be done. After hearing the lawyer's answer and pressing the issue, they said, "I am only passing on the doctor's reply." Their absurd guidance destroyed my trust. When I asked them to inform the guardian by phone about the alleged medical-law violation, they also said they had no obligation to speak with the guardian. After that ~~~ middle part omitted (husband became involved) ~~~~ saying things like let's call the police ~~~~~ (details omitted) After that, the hospital contacted some overall manager? director? whom I had never even seen face to face. ~ details omitted ~ conclusion After I said I had no intention of seeing them for aftercare or follow-up anymore, I demanded a full refund and an apology from the staff who had so brazenly told me it was a medical-law violation. I received an apology after asking whether we could settle it with half the refund plus an apology from the person in charge.. (For the staff apology, they would make an internal report for personnel management and so on ~blah blah~ because if the economy is difficult and they suddenly leave, it would be hard to run the hospital, and because a full refund would mean the doctor was admitting that their own surgery had gone wrong, so they had tried to negotiate it down to half, and so on..) It ended in rejection. Suborbital repositioning is definitely not a minor surgery. So please look around a lot, decide very carefully, and even if something goes wrong, choose a hospital that is responsible and manages things well. This was the first time I paid for a service and received something like this.
