Before giving birth, I was around a 75B, so I didn’t really have major complaints about my breast size. Even though they weren’t very large, they looked fairly natural in clothes and fit my body well, so I had never really thought about breast surgery. But after giving birth and breastfeeding, my body really wasn’t the same anymore After delivery, most of the upper fullness was gone, and my breasts became saggy and drooped downward. Even with a bra on, they didn’t sit the way they used to. Every time I looked in the mirror, my mood would sink for no reason, and clothes I used to wear easily somehow stopped looking right, so I gradually lost confidence. I actually tried to tell myself that body changes after having a child are natural, but every time I looked at my body, I felt like my feminine appeal had disappeared, and there were many days when I felt depressed for no reason. My husband never said anything, but I felt self-conscious by myself, and every time I changed underwear I would let out a sigh Then I heard from an older acquaintance that she had gotten lower breast surgery after childbirth and was satisfied, so I started looking into clinics too. Since breast surgery is a major operation, I wanted somewhere that would look carefully at my body shape and degree of sagging, rather than just making them bigger. I searched through a lot of reviews and ended up having a consultation with Director Byun Il-hwan at ㅇㅇㄷ Hospital. The first thing I told him in the consultation was, “I’m so stressed because of my sagging breasts after childbirth.” Rather than just being about lack of volume, I said the biggest issue was that the upper breast had hollowed out and drooped downward, and the director examined my breasts one by one, checking the degree of sagging, skin elasticity, and even the shape of my ribcage. Honestly, I had thought breast surgery just meant putting in implants and making them bigger, but after the consultation I learned that sagging breasts also need to be assessed together with the inframammary fold position, nipple position, and skin laxity. What I wanted was not an overly dramatic look, but a firm, pretty line like before childbirth, enough to feel naturally confident when wearing clothes. I went with Mentor Boost implants, and the incision was made around the areola. At first I was most worried about scars, but the director explained which direction would look more natural in my case, and that helped put my mind at ease. Before surgery, I worried a lot about whether they might look too obvious or unnatural, but now I actually wonder why I spent so long worrying about it. Right now I’m around a 75D, so there’s much more volume, and most importantly the sagging shape has improved a lot, which makes me very satisfied. Now that the upper fullness has been filled in, the breast line looks so much prettier, and when I wear a bra, it no longer feels like I’m forcefully gathering everything together like before, which I love. After childbirth, I thought I just had to accept that my body had changed, but once it improved, my mood changed a lot too. The me who used to stay in comfy clothes at home has recently started taking out V-neck and fitted clothes again, and every time I look in the mirror I feel less discouraged than before. Rather than saying breast surgery changed everything completely, it feels more like I regained the feminine confidence I felt I had lost, which is why I’m even more satisfied
