About 17 years ago I had my breasts done at [Clinic A] in Apgujeong. Even though the asymmetry was pretty severe, I wasn’t the type to get too sensitive about it because human breasts are naturally uneven, and the feel was so good that the boyfriends I had over the years couldn’t tell I’d had surgery. It was so natural, and everyone said my breasts were pretty, so I lived without complaints. But now that I’m 43, my breasts have gotten a lot smaller, and having such old implants in me feels a bit unsettling, so I thought I should at least get a consultation and, if I really need to do it, do the surgery next year. I put three places that are said to be good at revision surgery on my list. (My original surgeon retired.) I live in the U.S., and this summer I happened to have a one-month visit to Korea, but going to consultations felt like such a hassle. Then one day I happened to be near UBA and thought I absolutely had to go there, so I went for a consultation (consultation fee: 30,000 won). But the consultation with the director was so good. Just when I was thinking I’d do it here next year, the doctor suggested an ultrasound, and it turned out my left breast had ruptured It was truly shocking I just asked the doctor to schedule surgery as soon as possible, and while I was consulting with the coordinator, the director kindly called and arranged the earliest possible date because I live in the U.S. So after all that, the surgery is over and I’m now recovering on day 8! Since the surgery wasn’t originally planned, I postponed my departure and am monitoring the recovery. They said recovery is going well and the shape will keep settling, so I’m just going to trust the doctor and wait. They put in 380cc, and I think it’s a bit big, but the doctor said it would be better if it were even larger, since I’m tall and this size isn’t that big. Hearing that made it somehow not look so big either There’s still bruising and it’s in the settling-in phase, so next time I’ll come back with photos.
