Finally, it has been 1 year since my contouring surgery! To start with the conclusion, I am really satisfied!!
That said, because it was a major surgery, I think it is best to think carefully and then think carefully again before deciding!! Why? Because after the surgery, it was so hard... I had surgery to become prettier, but for the first month or two after the operation, I think I actually developed appearance anxiety. What if this swelling never goes down? What if I cannot open my mouth? What if my sensation does not come back? I also had cheekbone surgery, so what if the bone on the cheekbone side does not heal properly? Because of all these worries and anxieties, I kept going in and out of this community every day, and I ended up looking for bad posts for no reason.... As a result, I was really suffering mentally too, and every time I went to see the doctor I think I only piled on more worries... T_T
I had surgery to overcome my complex, but instead I ended up with appearance anxiety.... T_T But just like with double eyelid surgery, there are people whose swelling goes down quickly, while in other cases it can last more than 6 months, right? Moreover, contouring surgery is an operation where bone is cut, so it seems natural in a way that recovery takes time.
So for people who are recovering now and feeling anxious, I hope you do not scare yourselves too much by only searching the internet!! The recovery period after surgery was really hard and painful, but even if I went back to the past, I think I would absolutely do it again. My complex was that severe....
For those who have decided to get surgery, I hope you research the hospital very carefully and think it through enough to make a choice you will not regret!
