I did not have much fat on my face to begin with, so I did not think liposuction would solve it (I even went for a liposuction consultation once). After realizing face lipo was not the answer, I got interested in contouring instead, but since it is a major surgery, it took me about half a year to worry and then finally go for consultations... Even before surgery, it was not that severe, but once something starts bothering you, you know it never ends, right? The blunt chin tip and the cheekbones sticking out to the side were what bothered me the most.. I would hide my face with my hair all the time... After deciding to go ahead and get the surgery, I compared which hospital would suit me best. Right after each consultation I would scribble notes in my memo app so I would not forget what I had just heard... haha For contouring, it is better to go in with a lot of information beforehand. They do explain things carefully, but if you are an ordinary person with no medical knowledge, I think it is easier to understand if you research a bit first before the consultation. I had heard a lot that cheekbone surgery can make the skin sag if you touch it, so I thought I would definitely ask about that during the consultation. At the hospital where I had the surgery, they said the side cheekbones go in with trapezoid osteotomy and that they do triple fixation, so it should not sag easily over time. I think I will have to keep watching that one. It has only just reached the point where the swelling has completely gone down haha. Anyway, they also said the anesthesiology doctor stays in the operating room and that they can monitor in real time through a webcam, so I made my friend watch the surgery for me haha. After the surgery, the hardest part was enduring the pain all over my face Since I could not open my mouth, I barely managed to pour the New Care drink they gave me at the hospital into a sauce container from Daiso and drink it. I lost 3 kg because I could not eat after the contouring.... But before the swelling went down, my face was so puffy that nobody could tell I had lost weight haha. By the time I got to the 3-month checkup, the major swelling was gone and the face line I wanted had appeared
