A few months ago, a coworker said she was getting eye-opening correction, so I started looking into whether I should do eye-opening correction too for my sleepy-looking eyes. I decided I needed to choose a hospital and get consultations first, so I filtered out any viral marketing and diligently did my own research. I visited five hospitals that were known as men’s hospitals, and at the end I visited Leo Plastic Surgery. Since it was a hospital famous for male eyes and noses, there was even a male staff member there. I checked in and saw the director right away; she was kind and beautiful. Since it was my first surgery, there was a lot I did not know, so I asked the manager everything I wanted to know, and then went in to see the surgeon. The surgeon was so fun to talk to, and I left feeling very honest and at ease. Since they had clearly worked at famous hospitals for a long time, their aesthetic sense was solid. They said the horizontal length was sufficient, so a canthoplasty was not needed, and we decided on incision-based eye-opening correction only. I also liked how they honestly said what was not necessary and what was necessary. The post-op recovery kit and unlimited regenerative laser were nice too. They also said they would handle follow-up care systematically after surgery, and I had heard a lot of hospitals just leave you on your own, but this one did not seem like that at all. There was no same-day booking discount or anything like that, so they gave me time to think comfortably. I went home, thought about it some more, and then made my final decision to go with Leo and booked the surgery. On the day of surgery, I fasted for 4 hours and arrived on time, and everything was already prepared. I had one more consultation with the surgeon, and they asked again about my concerns and requests and reflected them in the plan. Once I went into the operating room and saw the surgical bed, I got a bit nervous, but after the anesthesia I naturally drifted off and woke up to find the surgery was over. The pain was only a slight stinging sensation right after surgery for about 3 days? When I came out after surgery and looked in the mirror, it seemed like the line had been set well. They gave me an aftercare package after the operation, and inside there was everything from an eye mask to pumpkin juice and a sheet mask haha. I was grateful that they packed and prepared so many things. I was too lazy to do cold compresses often, but the swelling was not as bad as I had expected. By the 2-week mark, the swelling had almost gone down, and now, one month later, it looks natural, like my own eyes. At first it felt unfamiliar because I was not used to the changed appearance, and the swelling had not gone down completely, but now, one month later, I have fully adjusted and do not want to go back to how it was before. After the surgery, I can definitely feel that the strength of my eyelid opening improved, and I no longer use my forehead muscles. Not only did I get this functional improvement, but the eyelid drooping also went away, so I look a little younger. Compared with the photos from before, it is clearly different. Anyway, I am very satisfied. I strongly recommend it to anyone considering eye-opening correction.
