One-week review of lower eyelid fat repositioning at ㅇㅇㅅ

Since there weren’t many reviews here, I’m leaving one too, and also so I won’t forget First, about the consultation: this was my second place after already consulting at another hospital. It didn’t feel factory-like at all, more like a neighborhood eye clinic..? so at first I was kind of like, huh, it feels empty here, and then I met with the consultation manager first. They asked whether I had had any procedures done here before, and really asked about even the tiny details. I’m in my early 20s and haven’t done anything around my eyes, so luckily I passed (?) that part. Then I consulted with the doctor right away. The doctor was pretty old, kind of like a big uncle lol. I had heard he might be a bit unfriendly, so I was a little nervous, but he explained everything I asked about well and didn’t give off a rushed, time-pressured consultation vibe. He seemed very proud of his own surgical method and like he tried to minimize side effects as much as possible. He explained things like, “this much is possible, but this kind of thing isn’t,” and because he explained it so professionally, he felt trustworthy. Also, unlike other places, there was no reservation-deposit discount or anything. They just said it was a fixed price, so I said I’d think about it first and later called to set a date. Luckily, maybe because it was summer, I only had to wait about 1-2 weeks before the surgery. I was a bit worried because they said the surgery method would involve sedation and local anesthesia, and then waking me up. But once the sedative went in, I was basically in a sleeping state the whole time. I think they woke me up halfway through to do one eye and then gave more medication and put me back to sleep. It felt like it was over in 5 minutes haha. I rested with an ice pack in the waiting room and then went home. At first, maybe because it overlapped with the medicine effects, I had something like double vision, but it went away within a few hours. I didn’t have strabismus or any vision damage either. It kept feeling a little uncomfortable when opening my eyes, but not really painful. The swelling kept increasing through day 2-3. They told me to come in the next day for dressing, so I went once, and around day 4-5? I went again on my own because I was bothered by it. One of the blood vessels in my sclera burst, so that made it look worse too The bruising wasn’t severe, but the swelling was pretty bad. I did ice compresses quite diligently ㅠㅡㅠ But they said this surgery method tends to cause a bit more swelling and bruising. I think they also said during the consultation that it wasn’t a simple thing that gets better in a few days. Maybe because it was an external fixation? Anyway... in the end, the one-week review is that today they removed the stitches and all the tape, but I still don’t know if it turned out well It’s not like, “It’s ruined!! It seems like a complication!!” at all, but whether the lower eyelid fat repositioning was done well or whether the before-and-after will come out clearly is still uncertain The doctor said today that I’m still very swollen and that the repositioning was done well. The lower part is still a bit hard and swollen, so the step-off along the groove, if you call it that, is still there. I’ll have to see how it looks by one month!!! It’s still really swollen, so... I hope it becomes pretty once all the swelling goes down. They told me to come back for the one-month checkup. I’ll write another review after I go~~
