Hello. I had functional nose surgery + crooked nose correction + dorsal hump reduction + osteotomy (using ear cartilage and septal cartilage for the tip, with no implant). I am satisfied with the shape so far. However, I am worried about my breathing. I had surgery on Saturday, September 27, and now it has been one week and one day. (8 days have passed) When the cotton packing was removed two days later, on Monday, my nose was completely blocked and I could not breathe at all, but on Thursday that week, when the splint was removed, there was something like tubes inside both nostrils, and after those were removed, my breathing improved dramatically. But then it gradually became blocked again, and yesterday I had the stitches removed. It is not as bad as before, but I clearly feel that blocked, stuffy sensation again, and it has continued like this... I keep sniffing in the same way I would when my nose is blocked. Something like rhinitis symptoms, I guess... Is it because the mucous membrane is swollen? I am also worried that scar tissue may have swollen up and is blocking the airway, but after looking around this community, it seems that at my stage it is probably swelling, so I am just waiting. Still, I am writing because I am worried about what if it does not improve. I would be grateful for any valuable advice! If anyone can share that breathing improved after a few weeks, I would appreciate it T_T
