I live in Busan, and there was nowhere nearby that did arm lift surgery, so I went all the way to Seoul to get it done. I was really worried about having to go back and forth for follow-up care, but since my wedding photo shoot was coming up, I decided that if I could just get it done in time, I would still be able to wear a dress even with some Photoshop. The first period after surgery was really hard. My arms were pulling so much that I could not even lift them, but after a month it became so much easier to live with. I have not had scar laser treatment yet, and the incision is still a bit red, but for the wedding photos it seems like I can hide it with tape or Photoshop, and I just hope it fades a lot by the actual wedding. I had lived with severe obesity for a very long time since I was young, so my upper arm fat was truly hopeless, but the folds that used to crease into three layers are gone and now my arms are straight. As long as I can live with the scar, I think the arm lifting effect is really real. Since I told the doctor I am getting married, I think they also paid extra attention to making the scar as hidden as possible haha.
