Just like in the consultation review I wrote before, they analyzed my body type very well (severe spinal curvature, pelvis rotated to the left, overall strong asymmetry, a typical pigeon chest, pointed chest, wide rib cage, and ribs spread out on the sides). I said I wanted a full B to C size because I felt too large a size would be burdensome, but I was told that because my body has hips, I might regret going too small, so I decided to go a bit bigger. My surgery was at 10:30, so I arrived at the hospital by 9:30, changed clothes, filled out the consent forms, and Director Park Jihoon personally explained everything. I was not that nervous until the day before, but after arriving at the hospital I got scared and nervous. Still, the director kept talking to me and checked everything so carefully and thoughtfully that I relaxed a bit and felt better haha. After getting ready, I moved to the operating room, the anesthesiologist came in first and said anesthesia would start, and I was taking slow deep breaths, thinking it was fine, then opened my eyes and I was in the recovery room haha. When I woke up, the pain and nausea were both severe, so I rested while getting pain medication. The nausea improved a bit, but the pain was still there, and I think I got a total of 3 painkiller injections. In reviews I saw people say throat pain was worse than chest pain, but for me there was actually no throat pain at all right after surgery. I think I was there for about 2 hours and 30 minutes total, and the director also came by three times to check my condition carefully, which I appreciated. At the end, when the compression band was removed, the chest pain improved a lot. My condition was better than expected, so I went straight home, but as the anesthesia gradually wore off, my throat started to feel uncomfortable. When I got home, I ate porridge and rested while sitting. The chest pain had improved a lot, but my throat was so uncomfortable. Still, as I had seen in a previous post that Sway is a pain-free favorite place, I think I got the no-pain lottery. I was able to raise my arms and do daily activities much more easily than expected, and from the second day I could wash my own hair and take care of my dog (still not ready to hold him though) hahaha. More than pain, what was really uncomfortable was sleeping while sitting, the support bra, and the upper band feeling tight and itchy. When I told the coordinator, she said it was okay to loosen the upper band for about 30 minutes, so even loosening it for just 5 minutes felt like a lifesaver. Taking medicine while making sure to eat all three meals was hard T_T
<Week 1 follow-up visit> I arrived at the hospital around 12 and got CapS and a massage chair first. The massage chair was even more refreshing than the one at home, so I asked my mom to switch it with me as soon as I got home lol. She flatly refused, but after the checkup I saw the director, and he said there was no bruising and the incision site looked good without being pressed down. He then changed me to a Dorothy bra and explained how to wear it and fasten the hooks, so the whole checkup was simpler than expected. I had heard that many clinics become unfriendly and just do post-op care half-heartedly after surgery, but Sway was kind overall, and all the staff paid a lot of attention, which I appreciated. I booked the next 2-week appointment and went home. When I took off the support bra and upper band, it felt like a relief, but after changing bras the pain started. It was heavy and hurt a lot from the sides of the chest to the back, so I told the coordinator and she recommended taking painkillers. It helped, but some pain is still left. I can sleep flat more comfortably now, but when I wake up, the whole chest still feels heavy and painful T_T I guess this cannot be helped. If I had not increased the size as I wanted, I would have regretted it haha. I think 1,000,000 times that I was right to increase the size as the director recommended. Wearing the Dorothy bra and tight clothes feels so satisfying ^_^ It is still only week 1, so the tissues have not loosened much yet, but I am already very satisfied.
